Another Labor Day saw us a few miles SE of McCall again at Rapid Lake.
We backpacked the five miles to get in, and kicked back with some great fishing, a squirrel-obsessed dog, and three teenage girls. (That's Holly, Jordyn, and Amy ready for the the hike.) Second photo, Ron caught the grandaddy lunker soon after arriving.
Next is Amy reading her schoolbook in a very comfortable hammock--thanks, Greenville Craggs! The forest fire smoke did come through every evening about 5pm until dark, then cleared out by morning for some lovely clear days. There's the four of us on the trail out--nice picture snapping, Jo!
The last picture is from our drive back home. The hillside just south of Banks was on fire and stopped traffic for a while.
